Services Rendered:
-
Spay/Neuter Surgery
-
Rabies Vaccine
-
Distemper Vaccine
-
Parasite Treatments
-
Subcutaneous Fluids / Pain Medication / Antibiotics (when appropriate)
-
Ear Tip
-
Note: All cats will be ear-tipped. A tipped ear identifies the cat as a humanely managed free-roaming cat who has been altered and vaccinated for rabies. This protects the cat from being trapped and anesthetized again, makes trapping projects more efficient, and maximizes Trap Neuter Return surgery processes. It also protects cats from the pointless and ineffective practice of rounding up and killing cats in response to “rabies scares” and from being taken to municipally contracted shelters, where they would most likely be killed, a terrifying process for the cat that also results in a waste of taxpayer dollars.
Cost: $40 per cat
We accept Visa/Mastercard (preferred), check, or cash (please bring exact change). If you have made prior arrangements with our clinic manager for monthly billing through qualified programs, be sure to prepare the billing code provided to you for processing.

DO bring each cat in their own humane box-type trap appropriately sized for feral cats, possums, raccoons, or groundhogs (at least 11" wide x 12" high). All traps should be covered with a towel, sheet, or blanket, as this is calming for the cat.
Cats arriving at our clinic in cages, carriers, or other containers will not be processed. Sedating for surgery is quicker and less stressful for cats in humane traps. It also is easier for us to keep them clean and warm and otherwise monitor their progress during recovery from surgery. In addition, it is safer for our veterinary staff. Cats are not handled until they are sedated. This prevents escapes and protects our staff from bites and other incidents. If you do not have humane traps and would like to borrow traps from the foundation, please visit our Humane Trap Loans page.

DON'T bring pets or free-roaming cats who will become indoor pets. More than 85 percent of pet cats are already spayed or neutered and responsible rescues and shelters spay or neuter every animal before placing it in a new home. In addition, many services are available that provide affordable spay/neuter services for pets and free-roaming cats who will become pets. Spay/Neuter Resources for Pets

Financial Help for Spay/Neuter Surgeries at Our Clinic
Do you need help covering the cost of surgeries? There are a number of options!
Financial support might be available from your municipality through a community cats initiative, municipal vouchers, or other means. Most require advance approval.
For more information about this possibility, check out the list of resources under the TNR Toolbox.
In addition, Nobody's Cats may be able to provide a subsidy in some amount toward the cost of spay/neuter surgery, depending on the number of animals in the colony and the caretaker's financial means.
In order to be considered for a surgery subsidy from Nobody's Cats in any amount, you must complete:
-
A cover letter outlining why we should consider subsidizing surgeries
